What swear word are you?
brought to you by Quizilla
eeek...wat can i tell you nice people today?
erm, on sunday and monday went to work at a factory OYL Electronics. Working there really made u think that u really need education to get on with life. the people there definitely have no life at all. imagine for 1 whole year (or maybe more) doing the same thing everyday. i give an example. i was putting aircond remote control into bubble bags. can u imagine doing that for 8 hrs a day for 1 whole year. can die. brain will definitely rot. i'd rather study! hehehe....anyway i got a total of 170 ringgit for working there 4 days. that's all i can take. no more working there!!!
today meet with frens at my house and we gathered together our 'resources' for the bio project. which is insects lar. we had a lot of them now! muahahahha. if i remmeber correctly. we r suppose to have 25 different insects. we now have about that. but some are duplicate. the ones that are still in good condition (with legs, antennae and head) are about 30. the rest, we killed them for no reason. sniff...so cruel hor bio student's. according to dehsze we probably killed about 30 innocent lives too. as in we killed 60. 30 can use, the other 30 died for no reason and ended up in the dustbin. *blink blink*
lemme see. nothing else at the moment that i can think of. still working on the new layout. got everything i need except nice fonts now. yeah yeah...

What Breed of Hamster Are You?
brought to you by Quizilla
quite true.. hehehehheheh
as promised, here is what i hav e done during my stay in south africa:
Day 1
-----
Arrived at Cape Town International Airport at about 5am (SA is 6 hours slower than here) and I was so glad that the 12 hour ++ flight here was over. We were greeted by our tour guide and sent to our hotel apartment. It was actually a very small place with only one main room, a bedroom and a toilet. That room was suppose to be for 2 ppl but since accomodations in that area was sparse, we had to make do. Became enchanted with the really unique ceiling fan in the bedroom. It had really short blades...like a rotating flower and the bigger the number u set it, the slower (unlike ours here). After resting a while we went to the seaside overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. There were lotsa lotsa kwai-lo wallking their cute doggies. Not on a leash...all the dogs there are very well trained. they even bring their dogs with them to shopping. =D so cute~*
Day 2
-----
Since I slept wayy too early last night; about 6pm, woke up at 3am (jet lag...geez). Taking advantage of the bright weather, our guide took us up to the Table Mountain. probably named that cos of its really flat top...just like a square table. we went up by cable car. really smooth and it was a rotating one, so that we could have a good look of it. After that went over to Hout Bay where we took a boat ride to Seal Island. There were lotsa seals there. the whole island (which isnt very big, about the size of our house area) were totally covered with seals. and the place really smelt of fish. After that, of we went to Chapman's Peak where we saw a few whales (this was unexpected). Ooohing and aahing at them, i totally forgot about the hot burning sun and got myself sunburnt :\ Before we went back 'home' me and my bro ate some Milky Way blue ice cream. it was bubblegum flavour. really weird.
Day 3
-----
Went on our own by bus (which comes very frequently) to the Waterfront. funny thing about the bus fares is that it goes up by 10 cents after 4pm. even the locals there dont know why it is that way. There we went to see the Two Oceans Aquarium. it's named that way cos it has the sea life of the Atlantic and Indian Ocean (in case u forgotten ur geography, SA is located in between those two oceans). Very interesting! saw planktons, jellyfish (blue in color..oooo), huge crabs (about the size of a dog) etc...they even had a touch pool where u can touch some stuff. i touched some plants (slimy), and those...erm...a kinda seaweed that is really furry (real soft, kept on touching it) and a hermit crab..kinda big. yikes. spent 2 hours there. after that did some window shopping in the mall (super expensive clothes)
Day 4
-----
Took a trip to the Canal Walk. one the biggest malls with about 200 shops. Went into the Science Exhibition Centre there. then i went on a crazy ride on some Gyro- thinge. can go 360 in that thing. real tiring and dizzifying. that thing is suppose to be a training thing for the astronauts. my body ached for the rest of the day. NExt destination was the Grand West Casino. nothing much to see there. only betting booths every where.
Day 5
-----
This day is a Sunday! every Sunday in Cape Town they have a flea market. So we headed of to the GreenPoint Flea Market. We didnt buy anything much but a few stone figures and key chain. After the whole morning there, we went to the West Coast Ostrich Farm. There ate some ostrich meat and eggs. Not bad, ostrich meat tastes like beef. Slightly more tender only. We went around the farm to look at the ostriches. The guide even let us grab the neck of the ostrich and shake it. The neck can bend until 180 degrees....darn flexible. I sat on one. They didnt let us ride it due to accidents that happen. The guide told us many facts about the ostrich AND he told us that the fact ostriches hide their head in the sand is ABSOLUTELY not true....hahahhahha. he said to my bro "I know, I was disappointed too when i found that out". After that went back to the waterfront to do some window shopping then went back 'home'
Day 6
-----
We went to Simon's Town. this town is famous for its gem manufacturing. So we went to one of the factories there and bought a few semi precious stones. After that went to the most southern part of the peninsular: the Cape of Good Hope. There was a cape walk along the cliff of the cape. It was a very long walk (not the mention dangerous baboons around the area) about 5km to the peak. My father and bro ACTUALLY walked up there. i followed them half way but decided it was crazy. lucky for me. when i went back the tour guide told us that there was a short cut at the other side of the cape and we can drive there...muahahha. so my poor dad and bro came back sweating and VERY tired. On my half way walk just mentioned, i was admiring the lovely flowers there and thought that maybe my mom would like to look at them too so i plucked 2 especially nice ones to give my mom who didnt follow us on that crazy walk. when i came back up, there was a ranger and he said that it was illegal to pluck the flowers and that we could be fined 100 rand (40 ringgit) for that. luckily we were tourists so we were let off..=P .*phew*. Ate ice cream again after that. the ice cream there is really smooth and yummy. i couldnt get enough of it. At night the tour guide took us to Signal Hill where we got a wonderful view of the night lights down in Cape Town and the stars above. while staring at the stars, i saw a shooting star!!!! so cool...
Day 7
-----
Went to the mini safari. Saw wilder beasts, lotsa zebras, and 2 cheetahs. no lions. After that went to the Wine Estate. There we had wine tasting (i got to taste them too) and i learnt the difference between white and red wine (other than the color). Red wine can be kept until 10 years. the longer the better. and u should serve it in room temperature. that is why when u hold the glass, u are suppose to cover the cup so it becomes room temperature (we also learnt how to hold the wine glass). white wine on the other hand tastes better when it is younger and cannot be kept long. u should serve white wine chilled, holding the glass at the bottom without covering it. here i thought that all wines are suppose to be kept long. Then went to a strawberry farm. ate and ate and ate till full of strawberries. so nice..compared to the ones here.
Day 8, the last day
-------------------
Went to a place where all the shops there were factory outlet stores. Nothing fabulous there. Bought shoes and some clothes. Then we went to a nearby planetarium and watched the show and the artificial stars. the place was so relaxing i slept in there :P. We then took a walk in a park and saw nice birds and huge roses. a man even walked up to me and gave me one! ^-^ After that we went to the airport liao.
so altogether this was a nice trip, nothing spectacular, but still nice. so long i write. mich should be VERy satisfied :]
i havent been blogging for quite a while cos went back to johor to visit my grandma who passed away. i even saw her die. quite saddening but overall i was neutral about it. she was 85 already.
